At this week the developers of Flash applications and the users of iPhone/iTouch/iPod/iPad received good news: finally the Adobe created a tool to convert Flash files into HTML. This way, Apple's devices that don't support Flash can access the HTML content.
The new tool is called Wallaby, it is in tests yet but already can be downloaded from Adobe's site in this link.
However, the users only will see the benefits when the developers convert their contents. Some sites, worried about this, was already offering their content in HTML5, like Youtube.
The Wallaby tool promisses to make this conversion much easier, but the disponible version still count with little resources. In tests realized by our team, few files were compatible, how Adobe's site specifications warned. The converted files showed a positive result despite not all the Flash functionalities are supported by HTML and some design differences can appear after the conversion.
The program's interface is very simple as you can see in the image below, possibly the final version will have more details and functionalities.
If the Wallaby accomplishes his mission, it would be another great shot by Adobe that could reach also the users of the market leader mobile popularizing even more the Flash technology.
